Unify. And unfortunately it's mired with performance issues. But that's another thread.

So long ago I think it was the PSP stuff, but even then there might have been some discount involved for buying more than one

Back in the day, circa 2002, I probably paid full retail for a few things, because they didn't really do sales back then and most VSTi were less than $100 anyway (most were less than $50). But in what I shall call "the modern era", after 2010, nothing. There are a few I'd happily have paid full price for if I knew about them but mostly I tend to find out about things because they are on sale. And I probably paid more for Vacuum Pro than anyone else, $99, but that's still less than full retail ($149).
Wait on! I just remembered that I bought Olga for the full $80 last week. That's a decision more than 10 years in the making, which shows you just how stingy I am. Do I think it's worth $80? No, not really, but I didn't when I bought it, either. I had the money, I was using the plugin, it just seemed like the right thing to do.

Gullfoss. It does go on sale, but after I demo'd it (and it wasn't on sale) I had to have it right then, I couldn't wait, I needed it. It really is secret sauce.

Serum, 2018.
Was it worth? Well, I don't use it in my music at all, but it's an interesting plugin anyway, with a lot of capabilities. I did a lot of sound design with, so I would say yes.

Omnisphere - worth it.
EZ Bass was not EZ for me so - not worth it. (I sold it.)

Kontakt 6 update, preorder
I'm not really sure actually, but I think there was no break on that.
I bought a couple of things which I don't think I would unless an introductory price or some break but I may have paid full.
I don't weigh plugins against life necessities, I buy them when I'm rich

With something like Kontakt, I wouldn't pay full price simply because I know there will be a sale at least once a year. I don't mind paying full price but I'm not a mug, either, so I won't pay more than I have to (except to a small dev like FBM or e-Phonic, who ask far too little for their work.)

Yip. I have Komplete, but only update about every three versions, and during that Summer sale thingy.BONES wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 4:17 am With something like Kontakt, I wouldn't pay full price simply because I know there will be a sale at least once a year.
