Especially for an effect plugin like this, Bitwigs modulation system (and perhaps Live, I don’t know) really shines. In addition to a step modulator, I often uses lfos to cycles through another lfos phase. Very handy feature.bmanic wrote: Tue Aug 31, 2021 6:39 pm Well.. I'm glad I tried the demo first. This thing, while really good sounding, is frustratingly simplistic in it's modulation department. The visualization is also not accurately calculated in many instances.
about those simplistic LFO's
Way too simplistic. When I want to do specific things, like using the LFOs to step through different pitches in a sort of pattern. Well.. it's not really possible to get any deeper specific pitch tracking using these as there is no way to change the phase of the LFO. Nor is it possible to set them to be unipolar. They are hard-coded bipolar which is not at all good in many situations (like going for a specific pitch target up or down only.
Simply if these would give you phase and unipolar operation you could get much more complex interactions going.
There is a sort of hack if you force the pitch to it's maximum or minimum, you can then use "ceiling" as a sort of limiter which forces the LFO to become unipolar. This way you can setup the two LFOs to target specific pitches but it means you are always stuck at either the low or high end of the pitch knob (or any other knob for that matter).
This is really a shame considering how awesome the algorithms sound and how much potential they have for vast ambient spaces and experimental stuff.
It's possibly still a must buy for me but I'm afraid of getting annoyed at this plugin and then never ending up using it.

I received an email from Chris Randall today. He informed me that he "had to let Simon go", and provided me with a free serial for Other Desert Cities.thecontrolcentre wrote: Tue Aug 31, 2021 9:05 pm AD promised me a free copy of their "next release" as compensation after some issues with my AD account. i just messaged Simon at support to remind him ...
