Diva runs faster under Rosetta on M1 than on native Intel if I remember correctly.

I don't have an M1 Mac yet, and what you write is true I believe, that it runs faster under Rosetta on M1 than on native Intel, but it will run even better on native Apple silicon VS. Rosetta on M1 I believe.

I installed the 707 and 727 and tested the 707 briefly, but unless my eyes are playing games on me again (it's possible), I didn't find any way to make the GUI larger. I found two choices under options, normal and compact. I didn't even try compact because I was already in normal mode and that was tiny.

If there really is no resize option on it, then that's a bit of a bummer imo. It's not like pixels cost money.

Isn't that how it works until your DAW becomes coded in silicon? Which at this point is just Garageband and Logic.

About drum machines, I wish Roland Cloud will do also the mighty R-8, maybe with all rom expansions and R-70 improvements (sounds, fx, positional pad). It really deserves to be emulated!

And apparently FL studio as well, as I've just found out. I am pretty shocked Ableton hasn't done this yet, but not at all surprised Reason hasn't.

Wow, great, thanks! So it was my eyes! I'm glad to hear that, because that means the issue was not with the plugin itself.

I just opened up my DAW real quick to have another look after your comment, and yep, I'm now able to resize it to super crazy large, if that's what I want. That's awesome!

I basically have it set to the same size as the original hardware right now, and that's what I like.

They have most of the number machines now (606,707,808,909 etc.).

I'd like to see a 505 also.

Yeah, I'm on Mac, there is a global zoom option there too which works pretty well and is still pretty sharp even when zoomed. I have it set up to use option or control and my trackpad swipe to zoom.

I'm on Roland Cloud, though I haven't checked out the Sound Canvas VSTs yet, but those are not the same as the individual drum plugins, if somebody is looking for the greatest possible accuracy and realistic sound for those machines.

I'm pretty sure they just have some samples in the Sound Canvas.

There is more going on soundwise in the 707 they just released for example than just some samples.

Although they were sample-based, Roland has called on its ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) modelling technology to emulate the 707 and 727. This is because, as well as the PCM data, both machines also used analogue circuitry to introduce decay to the waveforms, giving the sounds a distinctive lo-fi charm.

Roland has used ACB to emulate this relationship, promising to deliver all the original machines’ sonic quirks and instabilities in the process.

I'm a big fan of the 626. However, this machine works fine as sampled version so I don't really need a virtual one. But I would not say no to a nice dedicated UI.

Same here! The TR-626 was my first drum machine, and it had some cool features. The samples I've collected of it just aren't quite the same. I think it was a bit better than the TR-505, which it usually gets mistaken for, sadly.

I just started my pc and after booting up it asked me to allow RoLand Cloud some network privileges (which it had never asked me before)
then it asked me to sign in to roland cloud but took me a website with a strange looking address.

Is this legit or have they/me been hacked?
