Microsoft and Apple do not longer support 32 bit operating systems. We developers need to know if there is still demand on 32-bit versions

I remember you already did such a poll here, and the vast majority only used 64-bit. ;)

I use the latest 32 bit version of SONAR occasionally for migrating/re-exporting old projects that have 32 bit plug-ins that don't work nicely under a 32/64 bit bridge.

Where's "never have" option? ;)

I've only been using proper DAWs since 2017 and even before then Renoise was 64-bit for as long as I remember.

I suppose "I ONLY use 32 Bit Daws" would be different than "I occasionally use 32 Bit Daws but mostly use 64 Bit".

I'm all 64 bit and have been for years so if developers can save resources by dropping 32 bit support I would say go for it....

I still have, but now very rarely use, Audiomulch, which has been stuck on 32 bit for years, but I don't think I can hold off updating my Mac much longer to something above Mohave. That being said I have heard rumours of a 64bit version planned.

If people want to use ancient DAWs, they should use ancient plugins as well..

Totally 64 bit for about 6 years here ...

Have too much invested in 32bit, nice thing is I can bridge a 64bit VST2 & VST3 plugins into my host.
So not like I am missing anything new. Yeah! I'm old.

About the same for me.

I have no idea how much additional effort it takes for a developer to support and update 32-bit plugins, but if it's considerable, I'd probably be in favor of ditching support and any further development for them. Keep them available as archived downloads for those who continue to use 32-bit DAWs, but focus your time and resources on improvement and development of new 64-bit plugins.

I guess the real question is "Do you only buy 32 bit plugins?"

If enough people said yes then it might be worth the work keeping the 32 bit version alive. Judging by the numbers above it would seem to indicate no it's not worth the effort.

Or "Would to refuse to buy a plugin that is 64 bit only" as the question isn't really about DAW use but:

I found the former thread (after a 15 minute search or so... KVR search really sucks. How about adding a "Show threads created by user" option? I'm sure the forum software is capable of that...): viewtopic.php?f=1&t=544921

The result probably changed a tad towards people using 64-bit only by now, but, it already was 79% users who didn't use 32-bit plugins at all, and 3% who planned to switch. If you count in the people who probably will only jump in to say "32-bit forever!", I think it's pretty clear what the vast majority of people use, and probably a good indication whether it still makes sense to develop 32-bit software these days.

I see that Saurus 3 was released 64-bit only. I don't think you did much wrong with that.

People who really need to use a 32-bit DAW these days can use jBridge, or similar software.
