The old school way is less problematic, takes more time but feels safer.
I think I would prefer something like this at a DAW level but so few Daw's have latched onto the potential.
I really don't get what you are saying. Atlas just "sees" all the samples on your hard drives. The "oldschool" way is the same isn't it???

Hi,
Linux (coming soon)
we'd like to see it released :)

The problem, in my opinion, is, that, yes, Algol ”sees” but doesn’t understand:
Algol’s ”AI” is so primitive, that the tagging/identification of different sounds goes wrong very often, and gives bad result for your drum kits, no matter how often you re-create your kit.

Therefore I wished, that instead of adding mediocre sequencer etc. non-usable to the new versions, the developer concentrates in developing the core, the AI working much better.

i recently got atlas. liking it a lot. workflow is flexible. i like the way the Ai works and i can create maps of different sample sets. does what i need and more. i dig the sequencer a lot.

But my problem is that I can't find any tutorial or manual for Atlas on this issue (how create multiple outputs in Atlas for different DAWs).
I've wished for a manual, but online brief is all for now. Single developer - low priority...

Sorry, no experience with Reaper.
The output selector in Atlas is on the pad detail area.

The routing channel within the daw needs to be handled there. In FL Studio, it's in the wrapper settings. In Studio One, the mixer instrument expansion.
Atlas provides 32 output pins within Bidule. To use single output of the stereo pair, must use Atlas pan control for side select.

Playing with the Atlas 2 demo and I really like it! I cannot drag files to scan, only folders are allowed. I have many samples in some folders that I don't want to include in Atlas. Maybe it's a demo limitation?

Not sure about that. But you could temporarily move the files you don't want scanned, then after you've scanned the folder put them back? Might be a workaround. Not sure if I would find them again though. Just an idea. :)

I absolutely love the drum kits I am getting out Atlas 2. Some of the best stuff I have ever heard. I really like how the AI works in organising this. Getting much better results than XO or Atlas 1.

Did I see there was a bug fix release coming out? I have some maps that don't actually exist in the maps list, and on my filesystem, some maps that DO exist, not being listed in the list. Not sure how to fix it.

Can someone also tell me why the "new sample" button sometimes hide when I mouseover it? Can't figure that out. (edit:just upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 that might have fixed this)

A delay for sample start knob would be really useful (instead of using aplugin for it on the output), and a per lane shuffle/swing.

Naah I would make even bigger mess than I already have now. Idea is to put all my snares in one map and just randomizing till I get perfect snare sound ha! :hihi:

I see there's an update just out with a load of bug squishes.

I haven’t tried: does atlas handle shortcuts? if it does you could just drag shortcuts to a common folder or a group of them (so you could subdivide them by category if you’re feeling really organised) and have atlas index that.

symbolic links should work even if shortcuts are out, but they tend to be a bit more fuss to create.

I already tried with shortcuts and Atlas cannot recognize shortcuts unfortunately, haven't tried with symlinks though. Will be nice to search for all my snares and squeeze them all somehow into map...

Has anyone found it crashes when clicking the Save icon? Using the demo in standalone on an ancient 2010 MPB with 10.12.5. It's happened 3 or 4 times today and it also took out all of the maps and loops I saved but browser refresh seemed to bring them back.

Would love to see pitch analysis, chainable sequences/patterns and probability in an update.
