I have balked. I was thinking how much I would like the B-3 and Modo Bass, and then I went over all their other stuff. But it would cost me $300, and for those two things I would want, it's just too much, even with a bunch of other things I really don't feel I need. I might as well save up for Omnisphere.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Here's what I picked up:

Sunset Sound Reverb (ecxellent)
Mixbox (disappointing)
Comprexxor (pretty good)
Hammon B3X (excellent)
SampleTron 2 (good)
MODO Drums (disappointing)
A bunch of Amplitube stuff (mixed bag from older models that are ok at best to stuff that's very good)

...things that I already had, that I'd offer an opinion on:

MODO Bass (excellent)
Tape Machine Collection (you'd have to use up 4 Group Buy slots to get them but they're great)
TR5 Leslie Collection (excellent)
CSR (ok - but worth 4 slots? No. Better reverbs out there today.)
Space Echo (I recommend anyone pass on that and get OuterSpace)
Bus Compressor (the SSL - surprisingly good)
Precision Comp/Limiter (the 33609 - surprisingly good)
Vari-Mu (pretty good but I much prefer Pulsar's Mu)
Master EQ432 (pretty good)
Neve/API EQ's (eh - too hot, these never feel right - pass)
One (I like this a lot on the drum bus for huge rock drums)
Saturator X (I really just never found anything I liked this on in limited use)
EQ-P1A/White-2A/Black76 (better versions of these elsewhere)
Comp670 (ok)

Things I'm considering just because...

Lursen Mastering Console
Amplitube Fulltone (last one)
ARC (I already have Sonarworks)

...after that I'm out of ideas. Sampletank maybe?

Do you have the Modo Bass? If not, why did you not get it? I see many raving about its quality.

Nothing for me. I always felt skeptical about IK based on others experience I’ve read. Nothing really stands out to me either with their products. Hope you find what you need/want though.

Yes, I do. Excellent!

Edited my prior post.

What about the sample tank libraries? Their cinematic percussion seems good, but I'm not sure what I'd get for the 25 products.

I mean the libs are all $79 each, but there aren't many $79 products to qualify for the 1-for-25 promo, so what would I get?

Thanks for a detailed list
I'm too a bit disappointed with Mixbox, but got it just in case
I found Modo Drums to be a real pain in the ass... a stupid layout, really difficult to shape the sound the way you want. I need to spend more time understanding how all this works first. Addictive drums or Slate drums are much more intuitive.

Right now I think about getting:
Tape 24
Sunset Sound
Sampletank 4
Fulltone
Tape 80

From this GB I got:
SampleTron 2
MODO BASS
MODO DRUM
Hammond B-3X
Syntronik Deluxe
Stage 73 Mark V
Space Delay
Comprexxor
T-RackS 5 Leslie
MixBox
AmpliTube 5
Fender Collection
AmpliTube Orange

I demoed most of their stuff and found out there is a lot of old trash, but sometimes there's good stuff, but you need to gid in a little bit

didn't get anything, and i'd be getting less free stuff than most because i already own so much of IK stuff. it would've been great to get the distressor and the sunset reverb, but not at price they're being offered.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

This will be my second group buy... and will be only the second thing I've ever bought from IKM... :clown:

I did the GB a couple years ago, when I picked up AmpliTube 4, and added almost every AmpliTube bundle they had available at the time.

So for this one, I'm gonna upgrade to AmpliTube 5, and add-on the remaining stuff I didn't get last time (Leslie), plus the new stuff that was added (Satch, May, Fulltone). That will leave me short of only just a few dozen things from the full Max version. Too bad there's no way to upgrade to Max (from there) and have it factor in everything I already own (price-wise). But I guess Kilohearts is the only company that really has an upgrade system like that, that I know of...

Anyway... here's my full wish list (if it actually gets to the full 25 for 1, thing...):

01 - AmpliTube 5:
02 - AmpliTube Joe Satriani
03 - AmpliTube Brian May
04 - AmpliTube Leslie
05 - Fulltone Collection
-
06 - MODO BASS
07 - MODO DRUM
-
08 - SampleTron 2
09 - Hammond B-3X
-
10 - Lurssen Mastering Console for Mac/PC
-
11,12 - T-RackS 5/+SE:
13 - Tape Machine 24
14 - Tape Machine 80
15 - Tape Machine 99
16 - Tape Machine 440
17 - Stealth Limiter
18 - British Channel
19 - Bus Compressor
20 - MixBox
21 - Quad Comp
22 - Quad Lim
23 - Quad Image
24 - Sunset Sound Studio Reverb
25 - T-RackS Leslie

I'm treating the T-RackS editions like separate bundles. Better bang for the buck to pick up both, with only a few modules overlapping between the two.

And I think IKM may have really missed the mark... not designing MixBox similar to something like Kilohearts: snap-heap/multipass or Unfiltered Audio's: byome/triad. Still, having sets of static custom FX... is useful.

And I'm surprised to hear the negative feedback regarding MODO Drum. I'm ok with the somewhat limited range of parameter settings, but my only real issue is the lack of modelled cymbals. I know cymbal modelling is a PITA, and probably a total CPU/resource hog... but it would have been cool if they would have (at least) come up with some sort of unique adjustable/synthesized cymbal solution, instead of using samples.

Im pretty done with IKM tbh

Defintely not for me, besides none of it makes sense anyway
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

So far i've got:

- Sampletron 2 (great tones, also like the idea to import my own samples)
- Hammond (great emu...)
- Mixbox (fantastic tool to build effect chains, includes some very vibey effects)
- Amplitube 5
- Fender collection 1 &2
- Lurssen Mastering console (like what it does, on stems; not as "mastering" tool)
- ARC 3 (software only)
- Modo drums

I already own (and like) a lot of their Plugins (Tape 80, Sunset reverb, Space Delay etc), i guess i will get some other Tape models, the Leslie, Comprexxor and maybe the Stealth limiter.

Does Arc 3 work with any mic?

Can someone give a quick explanation of this.. I have I think a black comp I never registered cause someone said to wait for the group buy.. what's the angle here. I'm not familiar with IK's stuff really.

Any recommendations?

If you register a qualifying product, say one with an MSRP of $99, then you qualify for the group buy and can pick up other products with an MSRP of $99 or less. The more people that join the Group Buy, the more free products you'll ultimately qualify for.
