I am using this to upgrade stuff I already owned, but didn't want to fork out the ugrade price.

So I bought Mixbox (though I doubt I will use it much as a strip. I have Infinistrip for that. But might use for some guitar pedal type chains)
so I could upgrade :-

Amplitude 5
Sampletank 4
Sampletron 2
Arc 3

Brian May (since that was the only thing missing from Amplitude)
T-racks Comprexxor (since that is the only t-racks thing I'm missing).

Hammond B-3x (since it is expensive, doubt I will ever use it though)

Now working through the Sampletank Expansions I don't own.
So far I have got 5.
I have an order of ones to get until I run out, which just leaves Modo Drum, which I have no interest in, given I've been using Toontrack stuff since it first came out and see no reason to change.

Again, nothing, zilch.

The only product I use from IK is ARC3

I cannot see any other products that I want or need.

The whole GB thing is an odd one because everything is not for resale anyway.

So it’s almost like a free loan, until an upgrade price comes along.

I had some Gear Credits and JamPoints so combined them to buy Syntronik for around €90. Then picked up the Deluxe upgrade, Mixbox, Sampletank 4, Comprexxor, Space Delay, Sunset Sound, Lurrson, Modo Drum and a few other bits. Not a bad haul.

Nothing. It is just bloated marketing bullshit.

I save my money for Black Friday and hope for some nice discounts on sequencer updates.

Resale is nice to have but we are getting roughly 13 for the price of 1 (likely more to come). To allow us to resell or transfer these would put IK in direct competition with all of its customers. That isn't good for them and it isn't good for us. I like it when IK and other developers do well when they offer great products and incentivize their purchase this generously. I don't know of a more magnanimous promotion for commercial plugins. Whether you can use one or more of these (and have the budget of course) really seems to be the question here. If you are loaded to the gills with sample content, have already got your guitar, bass and room correction needs in hand and have your mixing/ mastering plugins in the bag then you could pass on this without blinking. Apparently 12 000 or more of us have one or more holes in the toolbox. This will sort out much of that for me at any rate.

nothing. I can't trust them. I bought numerous things in a group buy in like '08 or '09 in the tRacks line; they've changed the internal ID twice, first when it went x64 and again for gadd knows what reason, borking every instantiation of it in VE Pro twice. All plugins now with a yellow exclamation point, like it's not what I bought and paid for suddenly. If I instantiate any of it today, who knows when I'll launch a project to find that same thing.

And showing they didn't listen to me or care then and don't test for VE Pro if they know it exists today. Such shoddy practices, so lame, so stupid. And arrogant, their rep that first time said right here, "Well they're (VSL) doing it wrong".
It's a fact, the internal ID was changed. If there's some secret developer key ring that ensures it's 'done right' I guess not everybody is part of the club.

Nothing yet and will likely stay that way. As it stands I don't see much value in going above around the €150 mark, as the higher you go the fewer the choices for other useful stuff of similar value. And since I already got T-rackS max that leaves only a few modules. All (or most) of the syntronik libraries for €49.99 sounds like a great deal but the 180 day download policy is quite strange, so while I am keeping an eye on it I will probably pass. Though come to think of it with the jampoints it may be more palatable.

A big fat nothing here as well...

How many spanners and socket sets do we need ?

Most of us have more than enough tools to do the job already...

What we really need is more inspiration and more time to work on the music...

And that's the best part...

You can't just buy it...

You have to work for it
No auto tune...

I already owned Amplitube 4 Max and Fender 2, as well as Modo Drums and Modo Bass. Been meaning to update to Amplitube 5 or Maybe 5 MAX so I used this opportunity for that and went in at the 199 level by buying SampleTron 2. I also found an unused license of SVX that was free at some point that got me at the 99 level as well. So I figured in addition to the instruments I want, I'll go for the TRacks Deluxe package, thinking maybe there was a good amount of presets for a given collection.

So far from SampleTron I got:
Amplitube 5
Amplitube Leslie
Mixbox
B3
SampleTank 4
Syntronik Deluxe
Lurssen Mastering
T-Racks 5
Sunset Reverb
Tracks SE
Brickwall Limiter
Comprexxor
EQ 432

And from SVX I got:
Brian May
Dimebag Darrel
Satriani
SVX2
Space Delay
Mic Room
ARC System 3
Quad Comp
Quad Image
Quad Lim
British Channel
Linear Phase EQ
Opto Compressor

Just EQP-1A left before having the equivalent of TRacks 5 Deluxe.

Don't really care after that. I guess I'll also grab the Stealth Limiter and then maybe some of the Tapes. Maybe the American Acoustic as well. Not much else I care about. I already think there are low latency alternatives to the tapes.
