Daws as vst hosts-handling dense midi in data

I recently got my cirklon 2 and I am over the moon , incredible piece of engineering .
A true masterpiece
Since I will it use to sequence both hard and soft I've put the various daws I have through the test of handling dense midi input data
So the daw functions purely as a vst host ,a glorified mixer containing the vst instruments
All sequencing is done with the cirklon .
So cirklon ---. midi out into daw , daw processing midi input and triggering vst's
I Tried two different set-ups , one using the usb out of the cirklon ( which has 96 midi channels over usb  ) , the other serial out port 1 through roland integra functioning as a midi interface .
Both had the same result
My preferred weapon of choice for the last 2 decades "Renoise 'behaved exceptionally bad.
There was jitter when doing 16 th notes , 32 th and 64 th notes were equally as bad
Reaper : perfect could handle the input midi stream just fine , pretty tight and almost no jitter
Loomer Architect : Also pretty damn fine
Canatabile : Pretty bad
Didn't test studio ONe , since I have it de- installed ..might do so tommorow , but I don't expect it to be any good ( still on 4.5 )

Also surprisingly , reaktor standalone behaves exceptionally well
All home made ensembles sequenced by cirklon , awesome

congrats, how long did you have to wait?

And what do you think separates it feature wise from good plugin step sequencers?

(Sorry, didn't do my homework, as it's out of my price range anyway)

3 years , 10 months
The only software that is equally as good ( perhaps even better when it comes to features ) is loomer architect , but is misses a tick delay per step whcih is crucial for creating you'r own shuffle beats

It's quality hardware , overengineered superb build quality , majestic colour screen and hands oncontrol , that's what sets it apart :D , and I wanted to gradually move away from the computer .
...oh and the amazing aux's per step , check some of splitradix you tube video's

Oh nice, i was just wondering, as in my naive assumptions, what could there be more than what regular MIDI data with propability/random/polyrhythmic functions could achieve.

The most important feature for me is if something is a pleasure and inspirational to use anyway!
(almost) priceless! :tu:

Congrats; that’s a fair wait. I don’t have one, but have thrown a lot of MIDI at Bidule in the past with good results.
