Oh wait, you have a file in Modules folder which overrides one of JUCE files. I assume that one should be used instead of what comes with JUCE?

(Oh and readme in your repo still mentions JUCE 5.4.7 and links to it?)

Yes it’s used for a nicer looking standalone in macOS but for windows it doesn’t matter much.

Will update readme for 2.5 thanks for pointing up, appreciated.

George, I've just built OB-Xd develop branch locally, and option to open manual works just fine over here in W10 from standalone or plugin (after removing that Mac-only ifdef)...

Is there any PDF app installed or works using Edge? Also Win 7, 10 or 11?

I use Foxit Reader as my default PDF reader. Don't have Win 11 to test, and my old W7 laptop is not immediately available unfortunately :(


EDIT: I've just changed my default PDF reader to Edge and it also worked fine!

Strange, didn’t work with Win10 and Edge here. Will check tomorrow. Maybe Windows user can get PDF manual access from the plugin GUI after all 😀

BTW a bug: it seems that Legato Mode and Voices popup menus also get scaled with different GUI sizes selected, which feels inconsistent and wrong. The preset bar menu, on the other hand, has the same row spacing regardless of GUI size used.

I think that has to do with the component scaling on the GUI elements. It’s not a serious issue but will fix on 2.6.

Okay just tested and Open PDF manual can be used in Windows but unfortunately not in Linux. I have pushed the code to the development branch and nightly build will follow shortly.

Did you remove the Manual menu entry completely in 0906? It was already gone from the Help section in the 0904 nightly, now the Release Info is standalone (I even like that more than it was before), and no Help at all...
I assume you don't include it while you're about to figure out how to make it work properly on all systems, do you?

It never worked but thanks to EvilDragon findings it will be available for Windows and macOS on the next build.

PDF manual is working as expected now on Windows. Thanks for the updates! Between the MIDI support, the Ilkka Rosma skin, the proper resizing, bank support, this has come a long way since 2Dat. And it's still an incredible sounding synth. There are other OB emulations that are certainly more accurate but this is a great sounding OB-inspired synth and the features and looks have finally caught up to the sound. Thanks to ED for helping out too!

Will have to finally "purchase" this just to say thanks for all the continued support. Just let me see what the new roof I'm gonna have to put on the house is gonna cost me first (thanks Ida)!

If there are no more reports I guess the latest nightly is good to go. Expect the 2.5 official announcement soon.
