Been user of Steinberg products since Atari ST days and still support them.
And NO, there is no something else

IIRC, Steinberg hinted that Wavelab would be incorporating features of SpectraLayers. Does this version do that?

I know there isn't "something else" to replace Steinberg, but there is to replace the M1 based Macs.

I am tired of all this whining. If people chose to enter the "wonderful new world" of Apple, what are they complaing about?

I’m not very familiar with SpectraLayers. Wavelab has had spectral editing for the last few versions, but it’s pretty basic. I just got WL11 Pro up and running and can see if I notice any improvements. Anything in particular I should be looking for?

I don't own either, but I have been thinking about Wavelab--maybe if there is a Black Friday deal. I'm just a cheapwad hoping I could get Wavelab and have it do the nifty things that SpectraLayers does, to some extent.
