Before I contact IK support re: ST 2.08.1

I've been running ST2 since the begining with no problems in Cubase 2.02 - currently using ST 2.06. Last night I tried installing ST 2.08.1. While it seem to install just fine it is crashing both Cubase and Ableton Live 4.04 upon openning a project with ST2. Reinstalled 2.06 and everything is fine again.

Before I go off and contact IK support is there something I am missing that was covered in a previous thread. Any thoughts?

I have exactly the same problem with energyXT. Works fine with v2.0.6 and crashes with v2.0.8.1 when opening a project...

I haven't installed 2.0.8 yet. I'm still on 2.0.6 and in the middle of scoring a film, so I can't afford to risk any Bad Things happening.

Out of interest, how did you revert back to the previous version?

Well I had used the "back up previous version" when I installed 2.08.1 but I couldn't figure out how to re-enable it so I just reinstalled 2.06 from the downloaded zip file I had. Since I keep all the updates it seemed worse case I would just have to reinstall from the original disk and then proceed along the update path. However, just using the 2.06 on top of the 2.08.1 seems to have done the trick. I guess it just replaced the files that were changed by 2.08.1

I'd advise that no one update to 2.0.8 until the problem is solved. I dl'd when it was first released and have not been able to use ST2 since. I've had tech support (Jason) trying to nail this thing down and nothing has worked so far.

Gotta defend v2.0.8.1 here, it's fixed some major crashing issues with FL Studio v2.0.8 was a nightmare

With me v2.0.6 works flawlessly, but slow...
I was hoping that v2.0.8.1 would load faster.
