Sent a message their way a few days ago asking about its current state, got a response from Denis saying they're aiming for a release this year.

Last year the virus most likely slowed down development, so it's understandable as to why there's been some extra delay.
Plus this sort of situation has happened with some of their past plugins, which still released so I'd say there's still some hope.

Though I will admit, I have sort of lost some interest after waiting so long haha

Given the product is currently 3+ years overdue from the original delivery date, I see no reason to think we’ll see any signs of it soon. Or ever.

As an aside, I continue not to understand how a vocoder can be over 3 years behind schedule. A skyscraper or highway, sure. Maybe even a video game, that’s always chasing the latest graphics technology, although even that’s pushing it. But a vocoder?!?

But that's like saying if you have one synthesizer you don't need any other synthesizers

I think different products bring different ideas to the table, and while I don't need an OV4 - I do have fond memories of it and especially considering the cool processing things Zynaptiq are doing with their other plugs - yeah... I'm interested in the concept of a vocoder from them

Maybe they’re being acquired by Apple? Seems like a perfect company to acquire as their products fill a particular hole in the Logic catalog. Even their GUIs seem to complement Logic’s newer plugins.

Ikr? I’ve used nothing but Logic since 1999 (Logic Platinum 4). But yeah, it would suck for everyone else.

What do you think of Arturia's Vocoder V ?

It sounds great, and it is easy to use. I don't find myself going in as many directions with it as MVocoder or Ovox, but it gets me better sounds faster in most cases.
