AMD Ryzen 9 5900X + Gigabyte Aorus X570 elite do not recognize....

.... MIDIMATE II and BCR2000 (the latter one, does show up, after the drivers... i had forgotten them, but it does not work... so it the usb connection or something, i don't know).
they are both, without drivers, recognized under the USB tab as; composite usb devices, and give an error, of course.
the MIDIMATE II 'lacks' drivers, because it must work out of the box, i need it for my old MCU (2003 version).
the BCR2000 has drivers, and they show as 'working', and they show up as ports, but i can't even 'check' them...
on my laptop, an intel based system (i7-9750H), the MIDIMATE II is immediately recognized, ánd the BCR2000 works flawlessly...
i am considering to buy a PCIe USB 3 card (there are no (new) PCIe usb 2 cards), if it is the chipset, or something specific with the Aorus series...
all other controllers i have are recognized, complete usb connector agnostic, and of course my soundinterfaces (... faces??).
for example the spark CDM, the Panorama P1, novation SL 49 MK II etc. etc.
the MCU is now connected via my Motu Ultralite MK3 hybrid, which works of course. but then i cannot connect my FCB1010 and my BCR2000....

1. didn't do that yet, i always do that, on a desktop... will do. EDIT: in power management, all hibernate/sleep function are off, even in balanced (in balanced only the monitors go to sleep).
EDIT 2: i always did that, in combi with 5, do delete the hibersys file. i didn't do that yet, because well.. went from 250Gb to 500Gb boot drive, because i needed that...
2. latest bios; F35, there is F36c, quite new, but seems a beta. don't like that..
3. did that, the gigabyte one, tried the AMD one, returned errors.. and strange behavior. but shall try again (a native access/rammfire installer came up.... while installing..).
4. PCIe to GEN3, didn't do that yet, i know it is one of the troubleshooting thingies..
5. do that right away, always, also in in device manager
another EDIT (3); my Motu Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid, had always problems, not big, it starting crackling after some time, just start 'Motu Audio Console' and stop, did the trick (while no sound program was open). i have that problem not anymore. i have attached 15 usb thingies.. that all work perfectly.
only BCR 2000 and MIDIMATE II not, they are older, but MIDIMATE II is a plug and play thingy, windows must recognize it.

uninstalling the current chipset driver? no uninstaller... can do it with device manager, is it called that way?? in english (i have a dutch windows 10 pro, because, well...). yes it is called that way...
ok!
it is a great mainboard, but the software.... o well it is never really great, but it is really sub par...
again thanks!
EDIT: reinstalled the gigabyte driver, i think, no... but it is now available in control panel as deinstaller.... perhaps i used, another one of the 3 .exe in that directory....

I know the solution, I had the same issue. You need a pcie usb card with another chipset since the old BCF2000 doesnt work with some mobos like x570 builtin Usb interfaces in Win10. There are more Old usb 2.0 devices with this problem.
A cheap Usb pcie card is enough to get it to work, DeLOCK USB 3.0 works perfectly.

That's what I did when my X-Touch One refused to be recognized by my ASRock X50 Creator Mobo (3950x here). Got a USB PCI interface and all was well again. Cost like $20.cnt wrote: Sun Sep 12, 2021 3:23 pm I know the solution, I had the same issue. @Pictus, i deinstalled the AMD chipset drivers from gigabyte, and the installation of the newest chipset drivers, from the AMD website, installed with no errors. you can never really check it all, or with a lot of trouble. but it seems it succeeded.
but didn't solve the problem.
i will buy a pcie usb 3 card, i can return, i already mentioned that. see if that helps.
a midi interface costs more....

we crossed eachother, saw the the X-touch indeed has problems, that could solved by behringer by the way, because they are aware of the problems.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Sep 12, 2021 3:29 pmThat's what I did when my X-Touch One refused to be recognized by my ASRock X50 Creator Mobo (3950x here). but well, for me €20, and still another pcie x1 free, for the future NVME drive, the third one, with 2TB... but will wait (why did i buy 500gb + 1TB nvme? well.. o i have enough space... it is only for the future, and the budget... a new built, even without videocard, and hd + 2 ssd's, is an investment, changing the standard fans in the case, with noctua ones, and add one, for the intake (so 2 times). and needed some more small stuff for the case.. o well... it is for 8 years...).

I think they actually fixed it on the X-Touch in a recent firmware but I’m not messing with it. Things are working. These AMD systems are fast but when I built mine, I was truly shocked by the number of compatibility problems. It was not a smooth build. Was not what I was expecting considering how much I spent to get this built. And it was a pro build by AVA, but once I started connecting things to it, things just weren’t working. The X-Touch One needed a PCI card…my FireWire card didn’t work with my RME interface but luckily another firewire card I had still lying around did…my UAD-2 cars didn’t work until a mobo firmware update fixed it. And the motherboard itself had a dodgy SB fan that made it super noisy. Had to replace that myself after ASRock sent a new one. That wasn’t enjoyable either.

i didn't know that, i first wanted to buy one with a VIA chipset, well that is an old name (or am i old), @cnt mentioned Delock, so i went for this one:
https://www.delock.de/produkte/G_89363/ ... anguage=en
Renesas it mentions... so, by accident, ha!
i thought, why go cheaper, for a small amount more. well i think a good choice, i hope..
i bit more expensive in my country, but still not much if it works.
and i mentioned it before, and i like to repeat my Motu Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid performs stable, remarkable stable, on my old system (usb 2 or 3) always after sometime crackles, escpecially after switching many programs with asio (or wasapi...), or soundcloud, for example.
now, never...
and all other controllers, roli blocks, push 2, panaroma p1, sl 49 mk ii, maschine mk3 + jam, arturia spark CDM no problems, rock steady.
but i think the BCR2000 and that simple MIDIMATE II, uses the 'oldest' tech.. both quite old, MIDIMATE II somewhat newer, 10 years? or more it can be more! but still.
strange that all other stuff seems to perform better (the roli blocks even are recognized a bit better), and well...
so, in the end, if the expansion card works, it will be a great system..
and finally the most stable clock, it was simple in the end, i did the complex way first..
but AMD ryzen is new for me, intel i knew.
even my motu can do things at 512 sample buffer (still 512 sample buffer is needed, well plugins that CPU's for breakfast times 4), that i couldn't do before, and stable.
MPE is always a CPU killer in combi with plugins that are already CPU demanding...
but that is for another topic. i don't think i can squeeze more out of it, well in other DAW's, than live 11 suite or bitwig studio 4.01... cubase has asio guard, reaper, well, everybody knows here...
reason 11 suite, i only use the built in stuff, and third party RE's. that never kills anything yet..
i can do more now, i expected more, but Music Developments Syne (no MPE by the way), with 20.000 partials playing, next to Vital, MPE patch from scratch, i thought it was always easy on the CPU, well.. not.. and Pigments 3... that last one... if i had duplicate of that one in bitwig, the system struggles. MPE patch from scratch, that indeed asks a lot.
but putting inserts after it, nothing to see.
o yes, as a send Crusher-X, send for Syne and Pigments, 1100 grains...
but that project already struggles, without pigments, on my laptop, i.e. dropouts, at 512 sample buffer (48.000). another soundinterface by the way, but they perform almost identical, except in latency, in ms. they differ a lot. i have 3... performance i mean, filling the buffer.
the interface now on my laptop has almost identical latency in ms, as my motu; a focusrite solo third gen, which suprised me and again not.. latency on higher sample buffers are never mentioned...
ITB needs, nowadays a lot.... it seems. i am already making a new topic, here...
sorry...
EDIT: maybe the TL;DR comes, that i struggled with the performance, because i did the overclock thingy, after of course reading about it for AMD ryzen, zen3. and also tried PBO2, but so many settings, i think i forgot, one setting each time or so.
it uses now PBO2 (auto), cool&quiet disabled as C states, best performance. till now. even a 4.6 overclock, that was the limit, air-cooler (noctua d-15, but still, and 2 big intakes..), reacted strange, it also that ryzen insists, on sleeping per core..
high performance, as with intel it really goes up, the power -how do you say- plan!, amd thinks well, 'i don't do anything, i am the master'....
so it is already a project that i couldn't make on my old pc (i7-6700K @4.4, yes then the cores are stable at 4.4...), because my laptop performs less, but still i now the difference, it can do almost the same.
well as i said, another topic, but would be difficult, what is the real performance of a system, with the plugins you have and use, in the way you use them....that you never see.... (well kind of difficult also, which plugins does everybody have, o yes, Vital...)

so this thread is usefull, because not all usb problems, and most are solved, are only AMD, some usb stuff won't work, perhaps even on Intel?
well a PCIe usb expansion card, solves a lot.
and thanks @cnt and @pictus for the advice, which ones.
and @pictus for the troubleshooting guide (also c-states was a part of the solution), but it seems not necessary anymore, or for older zen gens? still?
the card will be delivered today, i built the system myself, and this is very easy, still... i hope i can do it, while the desktop stays in place...
the thermal paste i will reapply, why??? better thermal paste, the h2, of noctua, shall it make a difference??? o well.
what has the last sentence to do with it all????
so usefull thread, for usb problems and amd ryzen.
