Can any Cubase guys help me with this early recording thing Cubase does?

I started recording at measure 35 but I always end up cutting that piece off that starts a measure before. How do I get it where it just starts recording at 35?

ok, you must have pre-roll set in the transport

the lit-up box at left, turn that off (or set that counter to 0s)

Thanks for responding jancivil.I checked and the pre-roll is off. What's stranger is that Sometimes when I start the recording transport it starts right on the measure it's set at and doesn't start a measure early but then the next time that early measure might appear by the 3rd click of the count off. By the way, I'm on Cubase 10.5. Just fyi.
