I thought this article was the most intersting of them all, and interstingly nvidia wants to buy arm also.
It does get complicated, especially after Alan Wu seized more control than he'd had. I wonder if it was to get a better price from nvidia. Time will tell.

I saw nothing entirely negative however about the mac's chip of choice. It's a side story really about risc, which is more in regards to Apple losing their employees and senior executives the newer Rivos Inc. I frankly believe it's an Apple initiative, merely a backup plan and damage control. But perhaps not publically announced or defined.

My understanding is that the due ARM license fee is based on the number of ARM cores.

If Apple want to go massively multicore or if they want to use general purpose processors for other areas like storage, network, etc., it will be more cost-efficient to look at RISC-V.
