Looks quite interesting. Would have considered it, but I have RC-20 already.

Been using this plugin further and I'm getting some great sounds out of it. But I have no clue why it adds ~40ms latency?

That's the oversampling algorithm.takaperry wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 2:46 am Been using this plugin further and I'm getting some great sounds out of it. But I have no clue why it adds ~40ms latency?

I've been debating whether or not I should buy Audio Ease's Speakerphone. I'm hoping LO-FI-AF can stop me from impulsively spending $300+ on an old plugin designed to beautifully make things sound like they're coming out of a tin can.

Is there any other plugin that can do the interference thing? That seems like the most unique about the plugin ..

It uses quite a bit of juice, but I do like this one too. I only wished they had more choices for convolutions and maybe a tilt eq so you can adjust the convolution to taste.
The irony is the downsampling by definition would introduce aliasing, I mean, that's the bloody point with these type of plugins, right?!?

Just record your own impulse responses of sound coming out of a tin can. Then you can load that impulse into any convolution processor and ideally share the impulse with us.emahoy wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 11:14 pm I've been debating whether or not I should buy Audio Ease's Speakerphone. It's not that hard to record impulses!

Have you considered Audiothing´s Speakers as an alternative to speakerphone? It´s more suited to music production than postpro (which is Speakerphone´s forté, target market and price range, imho), and sounds great.emahoy wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 11:14 pm I've been debating whether or not I should buy Audio Ease's Speakerphone. I have! I think I'll just have to contact Audio Ease for a demo and try to do a shootout between Speakers, Speakerphone, and LO-Fi and figure out which one works for me. The IRs Audio Ease records are incredible, so much so that their amplifier IRs sound more realistic to me than actual amp modeler plugins. But I'll never really know until I demo it.epiphaneia wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:28 pmHave you considered Audiothing´s Speakers as an alternative to speakerphone?
