I noticed similar when creating kicks that I couldn't get to have consistent dynamics and amplitude in midi. Almost like there's a random phase shift or something going on with the attack of the filter. I've ended up just bouncing to audio and slicing the pattern back together to get consistency.

Which is explicitly forbidden by the rules.

Samples:

No use of samples, sample libraries or live sounds (like voice, guitar etc allowed).
However, for convenience or CPU saving, synth bouncing are allowed but only where the EXACT same result could have been achieved using the original synth: - This means that for example pitching and reversing is not allowed; sampling a bass drum in order to get a consistent sound is not allowed either.
Samplers used must be host samplers or freeware and easily available.

Hello, I was wondering if the filter can only be a HP or if we can change it to Low Pass. Any idea ?

as far as i can tell, it always has both! the hp knob controls the cutoff of the high pass, but everything else in the "filter" section refers to the low pass filter.
