A pleasant ambience. Fellow VCV Rack user Dave Benham (aka Dave Venom) revived an old patch of mine and did a pretty nice job of it. His addition of a live flute part is lovely, IMO. I hope you like it too.

Btw, my apologies for my lack of reviews lately. I always feel a bit guilty posting without having listened to the recent works of my friends and colleagues here at KVR. Alas, the plain fact is that life can be damned busy at 70. I promise to get hip to the cogitation asap. :)

Best regards,

Nice, man. What is that, a flute, right? Must be alt or something.. Nicely played. VCV in vision .. the second flute, even more lows. Congrats!

Nice. It's not my taste, but it sounds lovely.

I also misread the title as A Machine Drum (Reprise)... And was waiting for drums that didn't come! That's my fault though. The flute and your patch makes a great pairing.

My thanks to all who listened and commented, you are all appreciated. :) I'll pass your comments on to Dave Benham, I know he'll be pleased by the responses.

@htcnext2 - Yes, Dave plays a native American end-blown wooden flute. I think it blends wonderfully with the sounds from the patch.

Btw, the original patch recording is here for anyone who might want to compare it with Dave's version:

Oooops, a very emotional, flute performance, floating, relaxing
and entrancing. Well done! :tu:

The video picture is a great idea. If you didn't know that these
are the modules of the VCV, you might think that this is a section
of a Borg cube. :o

Listening again to the original, I can understand how a flautist might be attracted to and inspired by the sounds there.

I think the flute blends well with the modular, and the piece has a great rhythmic flow. It's great late-night listening.

Good work :)

Beautiful merging of synthetic and organic sounds, very relaxing. That virtual rack looks interesting, but I wouldn’t know where to start with programming it :)
