FL Studio - can you reset EDIT EVENTS, change it completely? cumbersome

i use FL Studio a lot but have to admit i hate the EDIT EVENT section, i never learned it and find it so uninspiring cumbersome and absolutely not intuitive, am i just a noob or is it a pain in FL studio?
e.g. there is an event in one of the projects but i totally want to delete it, but in the projects overview it is not to find at all.... the tempo gets reset every time, when i mark the whole event in the EVENT editor i cannot click delete or whatever.... any tips or maybe tutorials i should watch?

Easy to delete the automation - CTRl+A then delete.

You'd also probably need to 'reset' the control concerned, and then click 'init song with this position' so it doesn't default to the previous position.
