Can Melodya be run as a standalone application?

Hello,
I have no problem running Melodya as a plugin but but when I press the play button in Melodya I get no sound from Melodya. The playhead plays but it makes no sound.

When I run it as the plugin in Reaper I have to assign a sample to the track and drag the pattern into the track from Melodya and then I hear the sound.

Any ideas?
