@Plogue
Do you think it's possible to bring the cpu load a bit down when patches are set to mono ?

I bought it and have been very happy so far. The one thing I wish it had was an emulation of the noise floor hiss from the output stage. Switchable or gated could make sense but I’m always a fan of emulations that include as many of the “flaws” of the original as possible.

I agree. This is a purists synth, and many purists will want the noise. I think personally that a ton of synth patches, maybe even most, sound better with a little noise.btfnk wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:10 am I bought it and have been very happy so far. If you are OK with it just being sample playback, I could add a chipcrusher-like noise loop of our many units (DX7x3, DX9, TX7, TX802 etc). But it is gimmicky imho.briefcasemanx wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 7:03 am I agree. This is a purists synth, and many purists will want the noise. Personally I think that's completely fine.davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:31 pmIf you are OK with it just being sample playback, I could add a chipcrusher-like noise loop of our many units (DX7x3, DX9, TX7, TX802 etc). The thing I'm hesitating on is to add a volume level to it. I would match the noise precisely against the device by default and you can turn it off or on for the units I have.

I'd say adding a volume level is better. If it clutters the UI or something a simple on/off toggle is completely fine too IMO.davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:56 pmThe thing I'm hesitating on is to add a volume level to it. I hope this will be a user choice.briefcasemanx wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:52 pmPersonally I think that's completely fine.davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:31 pmIf you are OK with it just being sample playback, I could add a chipcrusher-like noise loop of our many units (DX7x3, DX9, TX7, TX802 etc). Please do. Personally, I am not willing to have noise added.davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:56 pmThe thing I'm hesitating on is to add a volume level to it. I would match the noise precisely against the device by default and you can turn it off or on for the units I have.
I agree with briefcasemanx - a simple on/off toggle would be enough (off by default)

one unique thing that comes out of the algorithm approach is if you also get the ability to modulate or automate the algorithm selector. might not be to most people's tastes but it opens up a lot of wild glitchy stuff that you can't really do in the 'modern' FM softsynths.

Undecided. Maybe in 1.5 or something?waltercruz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 2:21 pm Any plans to support DX7II sysex that includes performance info?

In DX7II in addition to performance Mode, have been added 3 new Voice parameters : Range in Pitch Envelope (6 semitone to 8 octave) which is used in numerous new presets (brass, trumpet,..), LFO Mode = Multi (16 LFO, one for voices) and Unison Key mode .davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 2:38 pmUndecided. It would be nice to see a version 1.5 of the software with at least the 3 new voice issues
