Is Groove Agent SE that comes with some versions of Cubase, available for use with other DAWs once installed?

Wondering if Groove Agent 6 is in works. Almost 3 years since v5 was released. I have discovered (quite late I know) that Groove Agent 5 is probably better than Battery 4 in most departments. Waiting for the next sale to grab GA5 now, but since Steinberg has grace period offers thought to check about GA6 if anyone has the slightest of an idea and if it will be better to wait for it.

I have lost hope with Battery now. :( 8 years since v4 was released. Disappointed to say the least. If Komplete 14 does not have Battery 5, it will be useless.

I had an older version of Cubase LE (since before the new authorization system) and sent an email to Steinberg asking how to authorize. They sent me a code for Cubase 15 LE (free update) so now I can use Groove Agente 6 SE in REAPER! 😎

If you have Cubase LE or AI you can do the same.

GA6 is here: https://www.steinberg.net/vst-instruments/groove-agent/

I still like Battery more, but I use it more than GA5 that I also have. That might change though.

Absolute 7 is out, too. Might be a better value for some than the GA6 upgrade - https://www.steinberg.net/vst-instruments/absolute/

Thanks for the heads-up.

Yes, after spending time with GA5, I figured that I don't need the full version and I sold it. I just use GA5 SE these days when needed, which is more than sufficient for my needs.

There are some really good features in GA (e.g. non-destructive fades), but I am now back to using Battery 4 more for its pros over GA (e.g. polarity flip option).

GA6SE now has a phase invert button, btw. I have Battery 4 and it is a bit better in terms of GUI. It used to be A LOT better, but version 6 closed the gap with the redesign IMO. And (for me) most importantly, GA6SE will show the sample names in the piano roll, which B4 doesn't. It also has a sequencer now, better FX, and lower CPU.

Good to know. I may upgrade my Cubase Elements to get GA6 SE at some point.

To my surprise, I didn't need to buy/upgrade anything. I just downloaded GA6 SE installer and it replaced my GA5 SE. I can use GA6 SE now!
