Waiting is over: Dmitry Sches Tantra 2 is coming tomorrow according to Plugin Alliance.

PA = No Tantra 2 for me. Oh well. Sad panda. EDIT: Plus... to package it into a bundle? Gross. Even if it wasn't PA, I would still pass. I love Dmitry's stuff, but no way I'd go with PA and/or a bundle thing.

EDIT 2: uhm, Tantra is still available for purchase on Dmitry's site... non-PA purchase. I wonder if we'll be able to get Tantra 2 through his site...

As mentioned in the other thread the new GUI will most likely stop me from upgrading as I find it a huge step back from version 1's style. Version 2 will have to bring a whole lot new to the table and be a reasonably priced upgrade.

The PA connection doesn't really bother me that much but we'll see if they go crazy price on Tantra 2 as they tend to do with other new releases ($449 list for a channel strip etc).

Flat and subtle is my thing so I can live with the modules but hope (going by that thumbnail) the actual modulation lane can be expanded, looks a bit small in comparison (though so did v1 imo).

You know the drill: $299 new, $199 intro, $99 update, $79 if you fulfill condition x, $59 if you fulfill condition y, $29 new within 6 months timeframe.

But in all seriousness, I'm interested in an update. Let's see what they charge.

I had actually been looking forward to it for a while, but with Infiltrator, I think it now has pretty stiff competition. It's probably one of those... "I'll pick it up once I can have it for $29" kind of PA-things now for me.

Yes he did mention a new synth and Diversion 2 so hopefully he'll make progress on them now.

I suppose it'll be available for non-subscribers on October 5th and then there surely will be that standard 14 day-demo as with all PA-products.
