The high intro price is to push the subscription. Standard PA approach. You only lose with PA if you pay full price. If you wait for a sale, which are frequent, and use a voucher which are generous you can get some excellent plugins for not a lot of money. Patience.

That's how I've purchased all of the PA plugins I own except Tantra and Thorn which I bought directly from Dmitry before he hooked up with them. Never paid anywhere near list price for any of the PA plugins.

As you say the high list prices allow them to say "The MEGA bundle has a total value of more than $20,000".

They constantly confuse list price with value.

But then in the next breath you'll tell me the plugins "don't sound anything like the hardware".

I like the PA plugins I bought or I wouldn't have bought them in the first place but the list prices of most of them are far inflated over their actual quality (The DS plugins being one exception)......in my opinion of course.

For example you'll never convince me the "Console N" is worth the list price of $299. I paid $9 for it in one of their sales and it's worth every penny of that.

Even millions would not be enough, as the hardware would need multiple very different big studio spaces. Alone the cabling would weight a ton of copper. In real high end studios I have never seen more than one big mixer in one room. The rack with outboard gear of a professional mastering studio isn‘t very big either…

Wow gotta agree about the new GUI if in fact that's the way Tantra 2 will look when released. Huge step back from version 1 in my opinion.

Tantra 2 will have to bring a whole lot new to the table sound design wise in order for me to buy it with that GUI.

Tantra 1's GUI is gorgeous, I love it, and the new one looks fking awful in comparison. Diversion and Thorn have lush GUI's too, this was a DS thing as far as I was concerned, really nice GUI's. If the 2 synths follow this kind of GUI, that will ruin their use for me.

I read that as exclusive/early access in the bundle from Sept 30, on sale generally from Oct 5... We'll see on October 5th I guess.

You can buy it as individual plugin starting Oct 5th... and use the full functioning demo until then.
