interesting new tool, and cheap too with the intro price:
https://www.waproduction.com/plugins/view/instacomposer
of course it says it uses AI because what doesn't these days?!

The question would be will it get continued development, or will it be left alone now it's launched?

Wonder if this is the long overdue of re-compose liquid notes or a devellopment of instachords/instascaleOneOfManyPauls wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:25 pm interesting new tool, and cheap too with the intro price:

I will likely get the Instacomposer though I can wait for a lower price.
I can't make this out if it is a midi fx

InstaComposer is cheaper at Plugin Boutique - £21.95 inc VAT (and today you get Arturia's FREAK free with any purchase).

Just realized I had enough reward money on pluginboutique so I just have to get it.
As WA products are nearly always on sale (on WA and/or pluginboutique) I think if this stays on this sales level of 30 bucks and is as good as the two competitors that come to my mind (the "original" Captain plugins and the "copy" Orb producer) could be really tough for them.
But lets see, I have my doubts how deep "AI" will go in this case but I am just to curious about anything in this direction to pass by

Had a good play with the demo and I'm liking what it can do - a no brainer for me at £22. At least it's easy to route in cubase for the track's different midi channels, going to be a faff working around that in ableton.
Struggling to authorize the plugin though - keeps says I've got no internet connection despite trying it in different DAWs and with a clearly working connection - maybe their auth server has gone down under load.

Have you make sure that the text in the authorisation box is completely deleted ? I had problems first too cause "key" was stil there after the code and it said wrong key obviously. But now it worked for me.OneOfManyPauls wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 6:07 pm Had a good play with the demo and I'm liking what it can do - a no brainer for me at £22. yeah it's not that (I did make that mistake the very first time I tried though), the error I'm getting is "no internet connection"

nest looks interesting for sequencing midi notes and CCs, especially generative patches.Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:14 pmI can't make this out if it is a midi fx

Maybe I'm missing something, but I feel like I can cover the same stuff using voltage modular (that has been such a useful midi toolkit for me).

The new InstaComposer is definetely worth a look. Here is a short overview video from WA:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-AyoEZCW2Q
which gives a nice short overview. This thing is definitely much deeper then I thought. And it is really easy to get started.
I love the idea of having all in ONE plugin instead of the 4/5 with Captain plugins/Orb producer and just feeding into a kontakt (or Unify or whatever rack) multi on one track. And with the different mode of the track you even have 7 different options for the 5 tracks.
Only thing missing so far are more scale modes (only major/minor).
So really worth to have a look and lots of fun to play with

You have UI scaling from 90 % to 200 % so I would assume you can get it at least near to "full screen"fairlyclose wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 8:58 pmdoes it go fullscreen? thanks - that is good enough, will download demo. This is not something I would buy unless cheap but it is certainly cheap at the momenttatanka wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 9:19 pmYou have UI scaling from 90 % to 200 % so I would assume you can get it at least near to "full screen"fairlyclose wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 8:58 pmdoes it go fullscreen? If Instacomposer can output each of its 5 tracks on different midi channels, does anyone know how to get 5 different instrument tracks to receive each track independently and listen to one midi channel?OneOfManyPauls wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 6:07 pm At least it's easy to route in cubase for the track's different midi channels, going to be a faff working around that in ableton.
I’ve had this problem before with Audiomodern’s Riffer and don’t think I ever solved it
