I'm aware this is a contentious topic (hence the 3rd option...) but I was wondering - for those that actually use subscriptions (for their DAW, plugins, sounds, etc.) do you use it like Netflix or Spotify, i.e. pay for a continuous service that's always at your disposal, or do you rather terminate and re-new it depending on your needs, projects, collabs, etc.?

Not going to pay for any plugin subscription. Under certain conditions I might be persuaded to have a subscription for my DAW, but not really.
I do support some creators on patreon, which is kind of a subscription, only in good.

I voted that I don't use subs... despite the fact that I thought briefly about trying out Output Arcade. That thought subsided tho :D

I avoid them.

Never plugin or DAW/ecosystem subscriptions, occasionally samples (Splice, Loopcloud).

Once I tried Composer Cloud for 3 months because I thought that it will help me at work. I ended up using basic VSL sample libraries in Kontakt :D and libraries that I bought in the past.
For the same reason I took a trial of Splice just to realize that they don't have anything useful for me.
As a someone who has more audio software than it's really needed, I don't feel like subscriptions can offer anything useful to me. Saying that, I'm using another Foley library sub from time to time but just because I have it for free and it's not tied to my bank account ;)
