Anybody with the same problems?
I bought last week the new update (from 11 to 12) but the download file for mac seems to be corrupt, i tried direct download in the browser and the torrent download.. i can not extract the file, i get an error message.. no problems with the windows version...
I've contacted the propellerheads support, but no answer..
(i tried to extract the file on my mac and on my windows pc!)

i've had this before a few weeks back. i think it's a problem with their CDN: a dodgy copy of the installer gets cached by the cdn so you're always downloading a bad one - if it's the same sort of problem i had it was too short by ten megabytes or so.
tech support don't really help: they just suggest using another browser (d'oh).
however, if the torrent fails maybe it's a bit more serious this time (or they're using some weird file compressor that messes up most decompressors).

Try the official unpack (right click) from macOS. Don’t use any 3rd party unpacker or the terminal unzip.
I had the same problem earlier this year with R11 and got instructions from their support.
I still don’t get it what they are actually doing, but with the macOS unpacker it worked for me.

when I had the issue, the built in decompressor didn't work and nor did any of the others (Keka, unarchiver etc).
once I got hold of the working archive, it was a different size (ie bigger) to the one that failed.

it works now.. i downloaded the file (again!!) with safari.. the builtin decompression feature in safari don't worked, but i right-clicked on the zip file and used "open with" ... and there was an - sorry, german osx - "Archivierungsprogramm" with a green icon, Version 10.11 (101.5.1), 2003-2018 Apple Inc. ...
(perhaps this is the official unpack tool from apple???)
but i'm wondering why my windows pc couldn't extract the file (the same file!!) .. and perhaps this is a new file? filename Reason_1221_d50-Stable-335-Mac.zip

both safari and the OS X finder should use the same built-in decompressor, so it shouldn't make a difference.
i downloaded a "without soundbanks" version of the one you've got there - the version numbers are all the same.

This fixed it for me:
Nothing would work for me, but as a last resort I tried the tip from Crossinger even though i thought it seemed silly. I right-clicked and went Open with and chose "Archive Utility". It's a green icon. You may not even have noticed that you were using something else to unarchive. Please just try it.
Archive Utility, the built in MacOS program is the ONLY thing that can open that stupid file. Didn't work with command line utilities, renaming it, using gzip, keka, 7zip, disassembling with binwalk, forensic analysis, etc.
I running Catalina 10.15.17 on a 2012 original retina macbook. The filename is "Reason_1221_d50-Stable-335-Mac.zip".
Thanks to Crossinger.
