I don't understand that but guess it means it's not possible :-))
Doesn't matter, it's a great update!

Just saw the new manual.
Great info.
However, the link to the Printer friendly manual still points to a 2.1 version.

All downloads failing from uvi portal... arg!

edit: Can't seem to cancel Falcon's failed download. Any idieas? It just says "Downloading ... 2 min left" and it lets me cancel it after confirmation, but it still shows as Downloading.
ok I can exit out and restart. Looks like I'm going to have to wait!

Do yourself a favor, and don't use the UVI Portal. It's absolute garbage. There are direct download links in your My Products section.

Here are the relevant ones:

Falcon 2.5 Mac: https://files.uvi.net/UVIFC/4-2.5.0-0_F ... .0-Mac.dmg
Falcon 2.5 Win:https://files.uvi.net/UVIFC/4-2.5.0-0_F ... -Win64.exe
Falcon Factory 2.5: https://files.uvi.net/UVIFC/2.5.0/Falcon_Factory.rar
UVI Workstation 3.1 Mac: https://files.uvi.net/UVIWS/4-3.1.0-0_u ... -3.1.0.dmg
UVI Workstation 3.1 Win: https://files.uvi.net/UVIWS/4-3.1.0-0_u ... -3.1.0.exe

Their files are self-hosted, so the downloads are slow. It always amazes me how few of these devs are smart enough to use cloud storage like S3.

Also of note: Native ARM + iLok is now possible on Mac as of sometime last month, when Pace released an ARM-native Pace Eden Client binary.

iLok Manager and associated system agents and daemons are still Intel binaries and run under Rosetta2, but they interoperate with the clients just fine, since the client communicates with the Pace agent and daemon over local network sockets.

Nembrini Audio was first (to my knowledge) with Native+iLok updates, but UVI is the first major dev to put out an update. We should see soon see a flood of ARM-native update from iLok developers.

Getting a 503 error just trying to log into my account. Their servers must be getting hammered. Oh well, I can wait a few days until the mad rush dies down.

Wags, the links I posted above are the direct downloads links for Falcon 2.5, the updated factory, and UVI Workstation (in case someone wants that). I copied them from my user account's downloads page when I was in there earlier.

It repeatedly completes a download, only for the install to fail, after which it places a zero-byte DMG file into my Downloads folder and asks me to install the product manually. Which of course is impossible since it is an empty file.

The only option using UVI Portal is to try the download again. Sometimes that works. Sometimes it doesn't.

This is probably part of reason your servers are getting hammered. People are re-downloading multiple times.

Downloading the installers directly works perfectly.

EDIT: I believe your problem is that somehow your download cache is getting cleared out between the download and the install. Perhaps some unforeseen Big Sur behavior? (I'm on 11.6). UVI Portal's default download location is ~/Library/Caches/UVI Portal. Perhaps if I changed that to ~/Downloads, it wouldn't happen. Just a guess, though. Perhaps another option is to enable "Force Direct Downloads".

Falcon 2.5 says MAC. I'm on Windows so this doesn't help me.

i still wish, we had independant osc volume in falcon and workable modulations on program level without the workaround and drag and drop modulation.

Strangely enough, they do for some stuff.. EG https://s3.amazonaws.com/uvi/Release_No ... ngelog.pdf
Yeah, I saw that. S3+Cloudfront would completely solve this issue. The usual excuse for this is that they are afraid of a big bandwidth bill. So instead they bring their website to its knees and lose money right when they put their product on sale?
