In what way?
I will let DS answer that one in detail:

{snip}

A good amount of updates PLUS its good to be supportive of developers, especially in these days.
So for the user not a whole lot as I suspected. I don't care about frameworks and OpenGL, GPUs, CPUS, blah. I'm a musician not a coder, I don't give a sh1t about that stuff. Give me tangible reasons to upgrade when I hate the GUI.

I don't support people for the sake of giving them work, I want results. I don't see any here, sorry, and I am a huge fan of the original. This is a huge misstep and I hope Dmitry learns from it.

Two new filter types and the GUI is all I've read are new. Is that correct? So, if you want the filter types, then that would be a reason, I guess. A lot to pay for that though. But why should other give you reasons--that's up to you.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

If the intelligent randomized is as improved as he says it is, that might be worth it….

Indeed it is. V2 randomize is really nice in that it gives musical and interesting results. V1 randomized wasn't that useful because it was very random and more often didn't offer anything usable. The GUI resize is also welcome. But the GUI needs work in order to support workflow visually. Hopefully that's coming soon.

It doesn't really matter if the monkey is deaf...

It just matters that it is intelligent

That is the primary primate prerequisite...

So random isn't random, but random in a musically random way ?

I used to love that about Camelphat3, random was either deafening, or no change at all or perfect.

Has anyone besides me found Tantra 2 to be absolutely unusable in Logic Pro? I found that opening the GUI (even when deactivated) reduces any audio to a crackle-mess, while it works fine when the GUI is closed.

It also works fine on the same Mac (2018, 6-core i7) in Maschine 2 and Studio One, just Logic seems to be sensitive to the way Tantra graphics are generated/refreshed.

I´ve contacted Dmitry regarding this issue, and he´s replied quickly and courteously (as is always the case with him), and he´s on it - but it would help to know whether it´s a Logic issue or a potential issue with my specific Mac.

I tried the Rosetta 2 demo on an M1 and observed nothing of the sorts. (Didn't bother to get native version from Dmitry cause i don't intend to get it)

Random is random...

Just numbers being moved around...

It's up to you to decide if it is musical or not...
No auto tune...

Strange... may be an issue with the 2018 integrated gpu then... did you try it in Logic or another DAW?

thanks, I´ll pass that on to Dmitry, just in case it helps him trace the issue.
