Practical use for Mini Daws?

Got myself an Akai MIDI Controller and have learnt that mini Daws such as MPC Beats are quicker than traditional Daws but with less features. However I have heavily relied on plugins like Scaler 2 and Atlas for generating Drum, melody and chords MIDI. This being the case, do I have any practical use for MPC Beats or are there any scenarios where MPC Beats would be quicker?

I've got to admit "mini DAW" is a new term for me. If you're just pressing buttons or dragging stuff, then yes, the complexity and editing features of a "full DAW" are likely overkill.
