Hi all…

I’m looking for a controller to use with my iPad (via the camera connector kit) when I’m travelling - an essential feature for me would be that it can be powered by an iPad alone without external power.

The Arturia MicroLab seems to fit the bill according to reviews I’ve read, & Arturia describe it as “low power”, however I understand that in recent times Apple have reduced the amount of power that their iPads provide to external devices with each iOS update. Hence iPads may well have been able to power the MicroLab when it was first released, but now they may not!

In addition to my ‘permanent’ (PC) set-up, I also own an Arturia KeyStep 37 (‘mini key’ controller/sequencer). I’ve tried this with my iPad but It only works when I connect an external power supply to the camera connector kit.

My iPad is a Pro 9.7” (2016 model).

Anybody able to provide confirmation? Thanks…!
