I'm so glad that you decided to release a wavetable pack because every project I've been working on for the last several months has featured mostly wavetable and granular synthesis in one form or another. After downloading and installing, I opened up a template in Logic that I use for designing my sounds and fired up Vital and Serum.

When I first got Serum, I was on the lookout for wavetables and became so frustrated with the lack of quality packs available. I also learned very quickly that more tables doesn't necessarily mean a better bargain. There tends to be a lot of same-sounding and unpolished 'filler' in commercial packs so I learned how to make my own. That being said, it's nice to find new ones already optimized for use in wavetable synthesizers that I use on a regular basis, which saves me time.

My first thoughts are that these are really good-sounding. Very creative and certainly unique raw materials that I can use to program my own patches for my music. It seems obvious to me that you took great care to develop Wavemorph. 250 wavetables in a single pack is a lot and each individual table is just as interesting as the next. Instead of splitting the pack into two parts to make more money (which you easily could have done), you're offering the whole pack for an absolutely insane intro price... $15 is seriously insane!!

Like I've mentioned before, I appreciate it when someone takes the time and mental energy to not only program presets and design quality wavetables, but match it with modern artwork and assign every preset or wavetable with a name that actually fits quite well with how it sounds. That's a night and day difference as compared to wavetable 1, wavetable 2, etc. The creative names you came up with are cleverly descriptive and follow a cool, high-tech theme and it all comes together very nicely.

For anyone using a wavetable synth, you really should check these out. In fact, I'm going to be spending time using Wavemorph with the new UVI Falcon 2.5 update this weekend. Just going to unplug from the world for a while a dive deep into my sound design playground!! Have a great weekend Daniel, cheers!! :tu: 8)

p.s. - In your email newsletter you had a graphic for an upcoming preset pack and asked us to guess what it might be. It's like a cross between a burning fractal and a bird... is it Falcon? :?:

Wow, thanks Justin for your feedback. It's great to know that you find this pack useful.

I had many downloads of my previous free pack of wavetables from Polychrome so I thought that if there's such a demand I'll create a bigger pack for the wavetable synths users.

I wanted this one to be more varied, so I included not only standard synthetic stuff but also noises, textures and snapshots of some instruments and field recordings. I think these open many creative possibilities with wavetable synthesis for interesting sounds. I actually was really surprised how those wavetables sounded in Hive, u-he as I always did something special and the wave interpolation in there is very satisfying :)

Regarding the file naming. I appreciate you noticing this :) I always try to set meaningful names that somehow catch the character of the sound. It's actually pretty important I think. When you hear something you like you we'll quickly associate it with the preset name subconsciously and later when you're in the middle of production you'll know what sounds you like to use just be recalling its name. It would be very hard if you just have sounds named like: 'preset1', 'preset2' etc. :)

The graphic for the newsletter it's more in connection with the character and theme of sounds that will be included, not the synth itself. So that question about the synth wasn't that accurate, sorry about that. As a hint this will be actually wavetable synthesiser, as I want to play with the Wavemorph pack myself. I actually already created some very nice cinematic drum sounds with it.

Cheers,
Daniel
