Ableton 11 Live Lite - mono vs stereo tracks limitation?

Hi all, new member, learning Ableton 11 on the Live Lite edition, with a dumb question - I was expecting to see a 16 track limit based upon what I'm reading on their website, but it seems to actually be 8? Is it counting L/R channels as 2 tracks, so 8x2=16? Like I said, newb question

You might confuse it with Ableton Intro, which is limited to 16 tracks: https://www.ableton.com/de/live/compare-editions/
