Aodix was just released, gonna check it out now

I get access violations on launch.. :(

Post

Mine's working fine. Looks great, nice and simple interface, no clutter (should please Tracktion fans!), but very powerful underneath the surface!

Post

The what's violating is your ASIO driver, for sure... Aodix loads the first of the list...
try wuschels asio4all or try accessing registry
regedit>user>soft>asio>... and see which's the first ASIO driver...

Indeed it was that. I figured it was ASIO, but I was too lazy to poke around in my registry.. but thanks for the motivation to go delete some keys ;)

But who would want to buy Aodix for 75€ if you can get a NFR version of Tracktion for free?

guess it all depends on how you like to make music.. I have thought alot about the free version of Tracktion, and have decided in the end that I don't really want it. I've tried it a number of times, but it just doesn't suit the way I work, or think about music.

However, if it turns out Aodix4 would work for me, then I would shell out for it. I have v2 and v3, which I liked, but not sufficiently to use as a serious toon-masheen. v4 looks better, kinda hybrid...

We'll see!

I Own a creamware Pulsar card and it crashes for the same reason you've mentioned.
What did you delete in the registry in order to make it work ?

well if you really prefer soundtrackers, what does aodix better than buzz ?
75€ is not so expensive, the problem is that we are used to have excellent quality software for very cheap (ext !) or nothing (buzz, tracktion !!!) :D

UI stuff, that it is event based, a "normal" sequencer view etc? :)

stefan.. we're becoming elitist host owners.. First Podium, now eyeing Aodix.. where will it end????

Haha :) I will most likely not start using Aodix actually. I want pattern editing, but I want it built in into a "regular" host, like podium or cubase. So that I can put pattern parts in the arrangement (or even just choose to edit in pattern view or piano roll) just like with normal parts. What I'm not interested in is a full-blown tracker. Even though I have done my fair share of tracking :) I'm a brilliant tracking musician!

Podium I really like though. Awesome host. So is probably Aodix, but I'm not looking for that thing any longer.
