Hi everyone.
I've decided to purchase an older used RME Babyface and I need 2 -4 more outs and at 2-4 more inputs.
So I'm in the lookout for AD / DA preamp, to link them with the ADAT in- outs of the Babyface.
I don't want to spend more than 250 - 300 euros.
I prefer to go the older interface route than trusting a used (or new) behringer ADA (I mean most of their stuff - when audible signal and sound is involved - are sub par and not very reliable). Even if I 'm handy with electronics and I could check the well known mods, their pcbs are way too skinny and difficult to work.
I would also like to avoid firewire since most interfaces need to enter their set up app in order to make the appropriate changes.
Any advice or idea what would be a good solution for me? Any good old usb interface with adat link or any good older AD /DA preamp?
RME ADI 4 or 8 seem ideal but they are quite expensive (around 450 - 500 euros used).
Thanks in advance.
RME Babyface + AD DA converters (old interface)?

Line or mic signal doesn't matter.

Behringer ADA8200 new = €180 and very good value for the money.
I've used the older ADA8000 personally, it's a decent piece of kit.
