Two tutorials from Sceptre using Vital.
Some more basic stuff, but at least it got me to put Vital back to my DAW setup....

So if there wasn't that video, then you wouldn't know that Vital could create these trivial sounds?

It's all about the sound (of the synth), not about the sounds.

Strange bug! Modwheel/pitchwheel don't respond to the controller! Example: Modulate the waveform position with ModWheel then when I move my modwheel I see the wheel graphically moves, but the sound is not affected. When I move the modwheel on the plugin with my mouse, it works fine!
edit:
It seems only the VST2 has this bug! The VST3 is working fine!

Well, is there any chance for one more sample player or ability to swap wavetable osc's with sample players when needed ? Ability to mark loop points would be nice.
Maybe scrapping separate sample osc on bottom and merging code wirh wavetable? so on import you choose sample playback and in edit mode you could maybe set loop points, start and end of the sample etc.
I think its doable without breaking current patches

So is Vital development dead now? Does it mean this synth should be considered dead? Or is someone continuing with the open source...

Is there any news? I thought vital is the new hype free synth? Why should it be dead now?Hanz Meyzer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 8:57 am So is Vital development dead now? Does it mean this synth should be considered dead? Or is someone continuing with the open source...

Matt, the developer seems to indicate that it's still worked on, but in practice there haven't been any updates at all for a year or so.
The synth itself doesn't desperately need too many things added or fixed though as it is already pretty capable and great to work with.
For strictly personal reasons i'd still like native M1 support (which he stated long ago already worked in his personal, yet unreleased builds) and maybe global tuning on the main page for convenience reasons.

Also, it's been out for barely a year... how often does a plugin need to be updated ffs

Also, is there an issue with GUI scaling ? The font is so hard to read on 1080p when its enlarged.
