Just found out he passed while scrolling through the Spectrasonics Facebook. Almost a month late on this news but damn he was one hell of a musician and influenced my work heavily. Please share your favorite tracks in his memory below.

I still have a couple of CDs of his trio doing Hendrix tunes. I always kind of enjoyed how John Abercrombie avoided imitating Hendrix's sound and playing style, even if in hindsight it isn't something I tend to want to listen to very often.

And by the way, I don't recall there being an Abercrombie RIP thread here when he passed way in 2017, so...
