The Diamond - Gainstation 2 series was created by Acustica Audio and Studio DMI, in collaboration with Grammy-winning super-producer, composer, and songwriter Mike Dean, and is composed of three separate processors: Gainstation 2, a lighter version of it called Gainstation 2 Boost, and finally the new entry called Gainstation 2 VSM.

Gainstation 2 - What's new?
We have taken Gainstation 2 to a whole new level by adding several powerful features for better performance and sound quality:

1 - A beefed-up 'Pultec-style' style EQ section with two new frequencies from a Classic mid-range tube EQ: 700 Hz (for the BASS ++ band), 1.5kHz (for the AIR++ band).
2 - New variable and versatile Texture circuits that can breathe life into the dullest of recordings, giving a global boost to the harmonic content and linear material.
3 - New Texture circuit buttons which include: Circuit emulation (O=Orange) for more saturation in the bass and low mids. Circuit emulation (B=Black) that accentuates saturation in the high mids and the highs. And finally a third mode (OB=Orange + Black) that serializes both circuits by merging the features of both of O & B into one.
4 - An upgrade to Core 17
5 - Various plugin optimizations and graphic improvements.

The Ultimate Harmonic saturation fine-tuning plugin
Gainstation 2 VSM emulates a series of hardware units that were carefully selected and modded by Mike Dean himself to achieve his unique signature sound. Gainstation 2 VSM, as with its sibling Gainstation Boost, only features a few controls for a hyper-fast workflow to deliver immediate punch. Thanks to its versatile Texture circuit emulations, it is the perfect, winning choice to adjust the amount of harmonic content of your source, all in one, easy-to-use plugin!
