Own it still... Had it since 3.0... Didn't use it much... Upgraded it... Still didn't use it much... Downloaded 5.0 version... Liked it better for some reason? Maybe it's the looping? Hmmm... Still like the overall elegant interface and design... just not the workflow...
P.S. the mixer and interface still won't open (together) on startup?? Arghh!

FL Producer. One of the few purchases that I actually feel happy about spending money for. Never once regretted it!

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Dude, I am blown away by 5, I am very impressed with the layout and some fun new features. Surprised would be an understatement.DHR53 wrote:Own it still... Had it since 3.0... Didn't use it much... what about project bones & etc..& isn't there some online exchange thingy now?Shane Sanders wrote:I wish there was a feasible way for FL owners to get together and trade techniques and workflow ideas. I learn so much more efficiently from having people show me things than from written descriptions.

I honestly don't know. I've only had a few minutes of quality time with version 5.Sicklecell666 wrote:what about project bones & etc..& isn't there some online exchange thingy now?Shane Sanders wrote:I wish there was a feasible way for FL owners to get together and trade techniques and workflow ideas. Its called Collab and it is a separate install, but is included with the FLS5 download. Haven't tried it at all.

Yes, I own it. I love its piano roll and the new audio features in FL5 Producer. I also use Reason (love those cables!), but I'd much rather write beats on the FL step sequencer than on Redrum. I also use Sonar (and a little bit of Live and Acid). FL5 and Reason are probably my favorite music creation programs.
I will say though that the best audio rendering I've seen has come out of Reason and Acid. I have trouble getting good .wav exports out of FL. My mix might sound terrific in FL, but when I export to .wav, it's a different story. In Reason and Acid, what you hear is what you get. In Sonar, what you hear is what you get after you normalize the .wav file.
