Ahh, I know little of these things, thought the extra D might give it a different name.Beardedone wrote:
Nice DT: It's a G Major!
Well, I provisionally had you at no 1 for my contest votes, but after that chord.....Jaaathmaster Gordon wrote:My chord is a CMaj7 (C root=10 fret on the fourth string/E = 9th fret of the third string/ G = 8th fret of the second string/B =7th fret of top string) being gteh opening chord of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" - I have always loved the sound of that straight ahead voicing. I love it followed by A7#5#9 to E7#9.

Depends what mood I'm in on the axe. If I'm feeling 'hokey', I go for a Nashville hammered C. If I'm feeling down and grungy, a root 5th B on the second fret. On keyboards, I regret to say it's usually happy C, even in my worst moods. (Damn The Archies all TO HELL!

On the keyboard (especially when I'm playing a Rhodes patch), I can't help but use the minor 9th.
The only problem is that it's too hard to play certain chords, so I usually just program it in eXT and play single notes.

Guess I'm weird. I go for C# Major quite often, or C Minor is another fav. Or G minor, or D minor or.... Too many favorites!!!! Ahhh!!!!

For me the chord is Dminor on the piano/keyboard.
On a guitar (which I nearly never touch) I usually go straight for a Gmajor.

Oki, special dispensation for the one noters (hmm, noters?). What note do you favour? The white one in the middle of the keyboard, or the black one next to it?CypherOne wrote:that's okay, I hit A minor as stated above and then go back to my one note wonder tracks....
