Tried to draw all 127 velocities in my daw. The first 100 sounds like volume increase only, and then there's about four vel. switches in the top which is not smooth at all.
I was longing after Pianoteq after few seconds 😁
Sorry to say, but I am not impressed at all.
And far too little info about what is a brake through with this software!
This has already been reported - the sample set guys need to correct the map.

Just from the comments and videos, I was hoping this might be something I could work with as composer but I don't have alot of time to roll my own instruments. Waiting on support because my access key won't let me in to see for myself.

Just got to play with Soundpaint a bit last night, per many of the comments above, not impressive (as hyped) at all. My Korg Volca Drum synth sounds better on the drums then the Orange 808 UDS, and, I have a lot more control of that device which many times is referred more as a "toy". Only item that sounds pretty good is the '75 Soul Guitar (for only $20 as a freebie to Soundpaint). The Bundle is ridiculous for only a $10 discount.

Has anybody tried the Jupiter 80 Ultra Deep-Sampled 84 GB version yet?

(I bought it yesterday, but have had installation problems and tried 5 times to download it, 2 hours per try -- error each time -- so I haven´t got to play it yet. I´ve contacted and am awaiting support from Soundpaint, due to time zone differences between Europe/West coast US it of course takes a while.)

I was thinking that maybe the mentioned infinite velocity layers would make the Jupiter more realistic and alive playing it, and the infomercial from Soundpaint before release sounded very nice. I was getting my hopes up of a new sample technology making playing sample libraries start to get close to feel like actually playing the real thing, something I´ve yet to experience, after having bought/tried every big name in the VST-market.

Anybody?

As someone said, for all the discussion beforehand, there is suprisingly little talk about the product here in KvR since it´s (at last, a week late) released.

Do you know where this was reported? A little strange if this piano was working on their demo videos, but not at product release time

Installed it and doesn't show up in Studio One plugin manager list even though I've run the plugin scanner. Is the plugin 64 Bit or 32 Bit because that's all I can think of in why it's not working in Studio One.

Installed fine in my Studio One (WIN). What OS are you using? Did you check and see where the VST dll file was installed?

at any rate, I don't think I have the drive space to spare for this thing.

it installed quite easily here. suddenly I was wondering what was using so much space tho, on spec this is a basic no go.
(can't be 32-bit or it won't have even begun to be installable here)

Not that massive for a grand piano, but I don't so much need one (my VSL Imperial _basic_ uses 138GB but is worth it).
as to somehow being unable to convey what it is, I think it's snake oil salesmanship at this point, you can't pin 'em down on anything. the frequent use of the word infinite was a sign, IME. I'm already not at all a fan of 8 Dio, and dude's shenanigans.

It is a free piano and it sounds great! Seems it is a subset of the samples of this 8Dio piano:

Reaper see's it in the scan but it's not showing up in the actual plugins list in Reaper, it's clearly installed. Two programs are shown in the list windows program list. Soundpaint doesn't open but Soundpaint Downloader does.

When I click on the Piano that you download from the site, it requests for an application vie a popup like this.

I've come to the conclusion that this plugin is a waste of time and effort to try and get working on the PC. Too many problems getting things to work and effort to download huge libraries. 6 Gig for the free Piano isn't worth it either... I'll stick to Addictive Keys Grand Piano which sounds good enough for me.
