Hasn't been a significant update for quite a while- maybe 18 months? Not that there is too much missing.
Last one was VST 3 I think.

Been with Renoise since 2.1 and still using it from time to time, especially after the last Update. I dont really follow them anymore, so not sure whats exactly going on but the long periods between the Updates are pretty normal as its a Sidekick - Project and only one Developer. Usually a new Update was rolled out at the end of the Year, so M1 - Support might be nearer than we think.

Can't wait for M1 support. And I also wish the Plugin titlebar and bottom would follow the used theme (dark or light), I use dark and the bright white title bar and bottom bar on each plugin window looks silly at best. What would be even better is if the bottom bar would disappear completely and the option to forward keyboard strokes to the plugin would be moved to the plugin options where it should be in the first place.

Frankly, I like the not-so-frequent update strategy compared to other DAWs, I really hate the bloat of most DAWs, so the simplicity is part of the appeal. The lack of VST3 support used to be the biggest issue, but now it's gone. Don't fix what I ain't broken and don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.

I don't mind the lack of VST3 support. AU work just fine. I don't even install VSTs on my machine when given the option. What I do mind, though, is the ugliness of the white bars on the top and bottom of the plugins...
