Lets say I've got two samples. One pitched at C#1 and one pitched at D#1.
Now I have no sample for D1, so is it better to sample the C#1 sample upwards or the D#1 sample downwards??
Does it make a difference?
When building sample patches, is it better to sample u/d??

In an ideal world, you'd try both and then choose the one that sounded better - it would depend what the source material was.
However, generally speaking, samples are stretched up, so you'd use the C#1 sample.
