I love it when you buy something then go on YouTube to discover loads of stuff it can do that you didn’t even consider. Just found out the Digitone, which I was attracted to mainly for multi timbral FM fun with Overbridge, can also act as a host and sequencer for iPad music apps, that’s a pretty neat little combo for *yawn* DAWless jamming.

I am not getting along very well with ADDAC503 Marble Physics. I was thinking I could do a couple of nifty things with it in a relatively controlled way. Sparing all the gory details, I can't. It's good for chaotic bouncing stuff but not the wobbly slew and bouncy envelopes I'd hoped for.
So I'm putting that back up for sale, and bought a used Loquelic Iteritas, which I have high hopes for. And with that I'm pretty sure I'm done with module changes for a good while.
(I still want a Strega. And an Araya Instruments Piezothing.)

yes, you do.
as you may remember, i missed out on first batch, took a while to find.
then when it was on its way, i did get some weird doubts, mainly brought about through "did it being unobtanium, make it more desirable?"
thinking maybe, as it is at the end of it, osc/filter/delay, it might not be as awrsome as id tricked myself in to believing...
i was wrong, haven't been able to keep my hands off it!
i was expecting it to be somewhat minimal in scope, but aimed at sounds id love, but again, wrong! it can do so much more, yeah the obvious washed out droney stuff
but ive found lovely melodic plucks, fat bottomed basses, and all kinds of things im not going to try to name or describe!
and nope, im not getting paid for this!
seriously, i doubt you'd regret it.

I know what you mean. I just reopened the manual and found out my PRO3 can control two channels of midi from its sequencer. Since I'm probably not going to get a drum synth this year, I've been using the Prologue's engines for FM BD, noise hats, etc. synced to the PRO3's sequences.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sun Oct 31, 2021 3:53 pm I love it when you buy something then go on YouTube to discover loads of stuff it can do that you didn’t even consider. i guess i was saying "more than the sum of its parts" or "exceeded my expectations".
whatever i meant to say, it's bloody awesome!!
(i think* the 0coast might be next, perhaps with the 0control
* - im going to keep watching dpo/other oscillator videos for a bit, there's a lot of choices, and no rush

See! you cant just eat only one, that's why I don't want it. That's like 2 grand almost.
Not that it isn't worth it, I would just rather spend that on something else. Buying one of
them equates to all 3 that way I look at it.

I think you can do just Strega (creative beast), or Strega and 0-Ctrl (fun sequencer).pekbro wrote: Mon Nov 01, 2021 2:01 am See! you cant just eat only one, that's why I don't want it. That's like 2 grand almost.![]()
If you don’t have much for a modular system then 0-Coast is the cheap way in.
On the other hand… these 3 are ultra portable!
So yeah. I guess, you have to get all 3!

yup, wasn't going to bother with the 0control, but did fancy a few of the bits in 0coast.
then i thought, but for gigs/jams the little stand with all 3 is very portable and offers lots of possibilities!
and im weak.

0-Ctrl is pretty great with any modular or semi-modular(s), nothing about it is specific to Strega/0-Ctrl other than the size.
I'm not too keen on the sound of Make Noise's wavefolders compared to others, so as my modular grew I sold my 0-Coast.

but it's the portability along with the other bits that interests me.
otherwise my other portable seq, is the crazy8 which as cool as it is, doesn't have the same hands on playability as the 0control.
and, you can never have enough modulation options for the big rig, so it will obviously get used there too.
all that, makes the price quite reasonable to me, especially as they can be picked up second hand now for a little saving, same with the 0coast

Uhm, Electro Harmonix, Intelligent Harmony Machine... Pre-order from JRRshop

*I got this straight up for the guitar, synth applications had nothing to do with it really.

then you can tell me if it transfers to other instruments well
although, saw the vid in the other thread, will probably add one for the guitar anyway myself, had some interesting moments
