Native instruments experts. Is there any rhyme or reason /pattern to help determine what products they Will add from K13Ultimate?
I am relatively new to the native instruments universe. Also, I am aware that the release will probably be quite some time from now. Maybe fall of next year…
Additionally… If anyone has insight as to what might get added to Komplete from CE, that would be welcome.

Not as far as I'm concerned. Who knows what they will release in the meantime, which will be added to K14.jrides wrote: Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:40 pm Native instruments experts. Is there any rhyme or reason /pattern to help determine what products they Will add from K13Ultimate?

Usually all that was released since last Komplete gets into KU, at the very least. It gets a bit more complicated with Expansions now...

I don’t think the symphony series was added to ultimate, but I do believe it came out before the release of K13U. They did add light versions though.

No idea what will be included, but I'm guessing more TB of Kontakt samples, more Reaktor-based instruments and effects, and probably no upgrades to their core instruments (e.g., FM8, Battery, Absynth, etc). It seems to be common for most people to consider Komplete to be worthy of upgrading every other version, at best. Since I'm currently on Komplete 13, I'm fully expecting that K14 will not be worth the upgrade to me, but K15 probably will be (at Summer Sale prices, of course).

Uhh, I can't even see their latest synth development... all there is are Kontakt libraries and expansions.
Good thing there are Massive X presets at least, seemingly they strongly support it.
No new tech, however.

Sequis will likely follow Arkhis into K14U CE.... the rest of the larger cinematic stuff into K14U. Can't see a huge amount of changes to the other core instruments.

I’m assuming nothing that has come out since 13 dropped will be included in standard. Guessing they will just move some stuff from ultimate down the line. Move stuff from the current collectors edition down to ultimate. But I might be wrong about that. If ultimate got all the symphony stuff… Would probably make the jump.

It is unlikely that Symphony Series Collection with go to Ultimate. If you already have a previous Standard/Ultimate version and this collection is what you really want, best would be to get K13U CE upgrade for 50% off in the sale that should start in about 10 days or so.
If you are interested in the newer stuff, you will need to wait for June 2023 to get the v14 update/upgrade for 50% off, assuming Komplete 14 will be released next year September/October as per usual 2-year cycle.
I am not much interested in the newer stuff, so will most likely stick with K13U CE. If they do drop Battery 5 or Absynth 6, I will be tempted to update to K14 Standard using my K8 license.

Yeah. I have K13 standard. I do have some interest in the symphony series and quartet. Enough to wait until 2023. Not enough to make the jump to UCE.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Nov 05, 2021 10:58 am It is unlikely that Symphony Series Collection with go to Ultimate. If you already have the collectors edition though, how would you be able to upgrade your K8 license? I thought once you upgraded to the collectors edition you couldn’t purchase updates to lower versions. Perhaps I’m missing something here though.

I haven't upgraded since version 9. And I probably won't unless either Kontakt gets a resizable GUI (including fonts and controls) and/or they upgrade the old softsynths collection.DJ Warmonger wrote: Fri Oct 15, 2021 11:28 am Uhh, I can't even see their latest synth development... all there is are Kontakt libraries and expansions.

I don't need more sample shovelware that's for sure! But that seems cheaper to develop and maintain, so that's the way they go.
edit: Wow I'm over 9000!

I am another who is going to wait for resizable GUI. I find that I only turn to Kontact after everything else because the gui is so off putting.

I can see me only updating Kontakt / Komplete when I need to because of OS or compatibility issues or something like a major GUI improvement. I use Kontakt all the time but gets a point where one has pretty much everything useful it can offer. Most of the newer instruments I cover in other ways with other VSTs or FXrACatkvr wrote: Sat Nov 06, 2021 2:46 am I am another who is going to wait for resizable GUI.
