Hi,

I'm using Synth1 on my iPad for live stuff and just found these amazing presets from Xavier Radix which I downloaded. (https://app.gumroad.com/d/990fbe43dca11 ... 41fd845e7f (https://app.gumroad.com/d/990fbe43dca11d7c2af3f941fd845e7f))

Unfortunately they are only available for the .vst version and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for using/converting them for the IOS version.

Many thanks!

Mike

They are completely different synths, the presets for Xavier Radix are meant for Synth 1 by Daichi (with the number written as a number), while the iPad synth is Synth One (with the number written in English) by Audio Kit, so there's no way to convert them.

The choice of the name "Synth One" can be a little confusing, given the long existence (and popularity!) of Synth 1, but Synth 1 never made it to iOs, while Synth One is made for iOs.

This.
The only thing you could do, is to install Daichis Synth1 on any desktop, and try to repatch the sounds in Synth One. But as they have different features you might not get too far. For sure the attempt to do that will teach you how to create sounds in general…

Many thanks Sin knight and TJ Shredder, I did notice how different they were.

I’ve been so focussed on getting the best out of them, not to mention learning how to incorporate them into my setup, that I completely overlooked the, now obvious, possibility that they originated from different sources.

As you rightly point out, the vastly different GUIs, not to mention the file types, or the name difference, should have alerted me.

I think I was seduced by some lovely presets for the older .vst version. What that did, however, was to encourage me to learn how to port my iOS midi into my Mac, thereby enabling my iOS Midi Guitar app’s midi output to be used in both Synth1 and Synth One.

What I’m really after are some nice unadulterated strings and gentle pad presets, in either version, to accompany my acoustic guitar.

Anyway, I digress, thank you again for putting me right!
