I'm trying to track down a high quality classical guitar sound - ideally a soundfont or something convertible using EXSC. Has anyone come across anything that produces nylon warmth and doesn't distract you into thinking it's a harpsichord?
Cheers

Not a Soundfont but a .gig instrument (which can be converted with EXSC):

Pure Guitars nylon is excellent.

Real Guitar is worth a look.
G-Town Church nylon (I think it's called) is also v good ... and free.

Now that sounds Good!!!
If you're looking for free, you might try Plugsound Free. It has a spanish guitar preset that is quite nice and can be edited to get the sound you desire.
But, I've never heard anything as nice as the pure guitars that Kevv mentioned, and I play a real classical guitar.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

This is a much warmer sound than the yellowtools demo IMHO. It also does not seem to have any reverb added.Yossarian wrote:Not a Soundfont but a .gig instrument (which can be converted with EXSC):

PlugsoundFree has a not-too-bad Spanish Guitar preset.
I've just done a Google for a link, but all I'm getting is mentions of it in Forums.
But I think you'll find it in the Library section of a CM coverdisc.

If you want to hear what that guitar preset sounds like, we used it recently in this tune:
http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=64406
although, due to time restrictions on the tune, we didn't tinker with the velocities to get that touch more realism from it.
Still a fair example of what it sounds like though.
