Very strange - I had Ozone Elements as a freebie when I bought a Korg Wavestate. Didn't initially install it but finally got around to it just to see how good it was (or not). Actually quite useful (though the automatic Eq settings seem a bit weird). So I registered it, updated to 9.9.0 and was playing around with it a bit recently (even considered I might upgrade and buy the Standard version). Yesterday I loaded up the song I was working on that had Ozone on the output - not recognized.

First off I check the VST blacklist - not blocked. So I go in and search and the Ozone .dll has just vanished from the VST3 folder. I hunted everywhere and it just isn't lurking anywhere else - checked all the other VST folders - VST2, VST3, Common Files folders, Steinberg folders, All the Izotope folders even some old Cakewalk folders. Nothing. It's not in the recycle bin (I figured I might have somehow deleted it by accident). All the other Izotope files are there - the uninstall files, the presets, a few others but the actual .dll just vanished. It wasn't a demo - registered it no problem, the Izotope Product Portal tells me it's registered and up to date and installed. Only it's not because the .dll has f**ked off somewhere. Very weird. And the Product Portal doesn't seem to have any links to d/l another install (of course I deleted all the files I originally got from Korg along with their links to the freebie s/w  . I've emailed Izotope support, so hopefully they'll get back to me.

Anyone else had disappearing .dll like this?

Have not had disappearing dll happen to me but are you saying that you can't see Ozone Elements in your Purchase History from ozone account (this is where you get to the download option)? If so one option is to sign up to soundbetter, which is free and includes Ozone & Neutron elements and some other stuff.

Yeah, I think - in Product Portal I don't see any Purchase History at all (but then I didn't actually buy it - got it as a freebie with a h/w purchase) - this is probably why I can't get a download option. Under the My Products tab it says Ozone Elements 9.9.0 installed and authorised to computer, so its registration is accepted. Thanks, I'll have a look at Soundbetter.

Went to Soundbetter (thanks for the head-up) - signed up and got a new code for Elements - which went in the Product Portal OK, so now I have 2 licenses for Ozone Elements - Checked into my Izotope account on their website and the only download leads to Product Portal - Reinstalled that, entered new license - and it still says Ozone Elements Installed and authorized. But - can't get a link to download Elements at all (either in my account or in Product Portal) - probably because it seems to see it as being installed, I can't d/l Ozone itself. Guess I'll have to wait for Izotope support to get back to me. I suspect I'll end up having to uninstall Elements and reinstall it. Starting to seem like not worth the effort just for a maximiser and a dubious Eq analyser, and at this rate, I don't think I'll buy the Standard version if their basic one is as flakey as this with a weird Byzantine license scheme that doesn't let me download. I was starting to like Ozone. Not so much now.
