Hi folks,
I want to be able to work between my PC and my laptop. So I have an external SSD with all my project files on it which I plug into whatever device I'm using at the time. My question is, would it be bad to store my VSTs on this drive too? I know that the ideal configuration is to have them on the system drive, but this means that the VST folders on my PC and laptop are not always in sync.
VSTs on same drive as projects?

Plugins which only require the .dll file will probably be fine.
Anything which requires things like licensing, registry entries, or additional files not in the plugins folder are unlikely to work.

Hmm well in that case maybe best just keep them on the system drive and copy the folder to laptop from time to time. Thanks for your response
