Kontakt 6 Event Input Versus Kontakt 5 Channel Input

I noticed Kontakt 6 track input is labeled Event Input instead of Channel Input like in Kontakt 5.
Is that a new thing? What is the difference?

Might have somrthing to do with the switch to vst3. I have no idea though.

Yes it is exactly due to VST3. Known and tracked issue.
